Technical Design
As a single point of contact, the BT Industries engineering team optimises fastening solutions − from concept through to production − in the areas of design, total-cost, assembly-performance, and complexity.
Under the engineering and design service function, BT Industries is highly equipped to deliver the following services:
- Manage close engineering relationships with manufacturers from all sectors and industries
- Perform visual, mechanical, functional or dimensional inspection of a variety of products, including fasteners and other commodities
- Document results and keep records of inspections
- Review and understand technical drawings, and develop inspection, tooling, fittings and report templates for inspectors to record all the features of parts on drawings
- Manage and maintain document control systems to ensure batch and complete supply chain traceability and inspection history
- Resolve customer enquiries to determine absolute root cause and implement permanent or continuous improvement
- Perform product and application reviews
- Consult on technical issues and resolve production line problems
- Work with customers to design fit-for-purpose components
